For patients living with Graves’ disease (GD) and thyroid eye disease (TED), life can feel like a roller coaster. In both conditions, over-stimulation of the TSH receptor by the immune system results in excessive production of thyroid hormones. In the case of GD, this can cause tremors, anxiety, gastrointestinal changes and cardiac issues, including atrial fibrillation. In TED, patients can experience orbital pain, swelling, eye bulging and double vision. Patients with GD and TED have an increased risk of all-cause mortality.
Today, patients can receive drugs with serious toxicities or irreversible treatments that destroy the thyroid tissue. Healthcare providers have long awaited a targeted treatment that can preserve the thyroid and bring patients’ lives back into balance.

YB-101 targets the central mechanism of GD and TED
YB-101 is designed to bind selectively to TSHR, blocking its activation by the autoantibodies that drive progression of GD and TED.
YB-101 has the potential to provide benefits over current therapies approved or being investigated for GD and TED:
- Specifically targets TSHR
- Rapidly and directly disrupts the underlying disease process in both GD and TED
- Has a potential dosing schedule that may reduce treatment burden with less frequent injections
- Is not expected to cause serious toxicities or immunosuppression
Clinical trial information
YB-101 is currently being studied in clinical trials in both GD and TED.
For Graves’ disease:
- Yarrow Bioscience has initiated a global Phase 2a/2b trial in patients with Graves’ disease (with or without TED) [Clinicaltrials.gov ID: NCT07682896]
- A Phase 1 clinical trial is currently being conducted by our partner GenSci in China [Clinicaltrials.gov ID: NCT07286656]
For thyroid eye disease:
- A Phase 1 clinical trial is currently being conducted by our partner GenSci in China [Clinicaltrials.gov ID: NCT06569758]
